The initial wow factor of a design agency’s website is enough convincing for many people, but it pays to make sure that they’re concerned about what’s happening behind the scenes, too. If a developer scores well on the following points, then you’re looking in the right place…
- Are their designs genuinely unique? Or do they use templates to keep costs down?
- Do they comply with the latest standards in web design? Are their sites accessible to users with disabilities? There’s no reason a great looking site can’t be standards-compliant and accessible.
- Does your designer work for you or with you? We like to treat our clients as colleagues, and count on them to contribute valuable know-how to each project.
- Are they realistic? Many design agencies are willing to promise the world, but do they actually produce the goods? We pride ourselves on being honest with our clients. So, if it won’t work or can’t be done, or even if it could be done but we can’t do it, we’ll tell you. And if at some point, we think that your money would be better spent elsewhere, we’ll tell you that, too.
